On behalf of Havila Kystruten, we regret to inform you that we must cancel the ports between Øksfjord-Kirkenes-Hammerfest with Havila Castor due to unforeseen weather conditions and strong winds. Please read more about the weather situation along the coast here: Havila Voyages newsroom.

After the northbound port call in Øksfjord, the ship will sail to Alta and remain there until late Sunday evening 19th January. Havila Castor will then proceed to Hammerfest to resume the southbound route from Hammerfest at midday Monday January 20th.

As a result, you, as an embarking guest scheduled to depart from Kirkenes on January 19th, will be transported from Kirkenes to Alta by bus, where Havila Castor will be ready for embarkation.

New itinerary will be as follows:

New starting point: Thon Hotel Kirkenes

Please meet at the hotel between 1000-1130 local time.

You will be met and assisted by Havila Voyages representatives.

Lunch will be served from 1000 local time. Please inform regarding food allergies upon arrival, if relevant.

If you arrive in Kirkenes the same day, on flight from Oslo 1055 LT, the bus will pick you up at the airport at approximately 1200 and a lunch package will be provided when embarking on the bus.

Prebooked excursions in Kirkenes will be cancelled and refunded.

Transportation from Kirkenes to Alta (Appr. 7-8 hours duration incl. stops):
Bus transportation is arranged by Havila Voyages. Havila Voyages representatives will be joining the bus ride and assist you along the way.
Estimated time of departure from Thon Hotel Kirkenes at 1130 local time, with a stop at Kirkenes airport at 1200 local time.

Embarkation Havila Castor:
Check-in at Havila Castor upon arrival in Alta.

Dinner will be served after check-in.

The ship will resume the southbound route from Hammerfest on Monday January 20th.
